Skilled - Sponsored (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 176)

Under this Migration Subclass applicant has to meet the point test on the basis Age, Skills, English Language and other requirements of relevant occupation assessing Authority to migrate to Australia. Besides basic requirements applicants must obtain nomination from State Government or must be sponsored by relatives (Immediate blood relatives) in Australia. The current passing points for this visa class are 100. Unlikely Skilled Independent - Subclass 175 this visa use a different point test.

Live and work in Australia on a permanent basis

Study in Australia at school or university

Receive subsidized healthcare through Medicare and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)

Eligible for Australian citizenship (subject to the residency eligibility criteria)

Sponsor people for permanent residence.

For Skilled-Regional Sponsored GSM visa subclasses, the threshold English language standard will be raised from an average of 5.5 to an average of 6.0 in an IELTS test
