Study in Germany

Germany is the third preferred destination among international students in the world. More than twelve percent of students at German universities come from abroad – rather like you. Germany is an attractive place to study and German university degrees are highly respected by employers worldwide.

Germany has state funded higher academic system and most of the universities don’t charge tuition fees even from qualified international students but follow strict criteria while assessing international student applications .

For undergraduate programs the international students should have –

Completed a bridge program of 1 year duration. After this the student needs to pass an assessment test for a Bachelors degree. Some countries have entrance examinations which are recognized by German institutes. Candidates having cleared these examinations can get an exemption for the assessment test. A student should have completed two years of undergraduate studies.

For admission to post graduate programs a student must have

Completed a four year bachelor’s degree program. Few institutions consider 3 year bachelors degree for admission as well.

For management courses a student has to have a good GMAT score and for Engineering the GRE scores are considered.

For Ph. D courses a student needs to have a degree.

A student’s English speaking ability is judged on the basis of the TOEFL scores.

Visa Process

It takes at least six to ten weeks to get German visa issued to international students. It is because all the visa applications collected from international students by German embassies are forwarded to the accountable immigration authority in Germany for approval process.

The German embassy does not return any forms, documents, or photos in case if the applicant is refused

For free study in Germany, applicants should meet following two prerequisites;

Minimum IELTS 6.0 band scores (academic test)

After securing admission in German institute, a blocked account of at least Euros 7760/ in your name stating that you just won’t withdraw more than Euros 638/ every month.
